Best time:

Autumn (Sept. to Nov.) and Spring (March to May) are the best seasons for the Annapurna Base Camp Trek. The weather is sunny and warm with outstanding views. If you wish to avoid crowds and enjoy some alone time with nature then taking this trip during winter (Dec., Jan. and Feb.) could also be an option. However, the temperature during winter could be harsh for most guests. Trekking in the Summer or Monsoon seasons (June to Aug.) will be affected by rain but the Summer trek could be a boon for a keen botanist.

Accommodation:

There are lodges around ABC area, but you have to stay in tent for a single night where no lodges and hotels are available.
Lodges vary in quality as well as in price and there are now some high end lodges on ABC.

In the high end ones you get rooms with private bathrooms, western style toilets and made up beds, where as in the older style ones you are advised to take your own sleeping bag (Although blankets are usually provided, these are rarely, if ever washed), some have inside western style toilets, some are outside, showers are usually available, but often in an outside building with various interpretations of “Hot” when it comes to the temperature of the water.

Transportation:

Daily many public buses and jeeps go to the bottom point of Ghandruk from Hari Chowk of Pokhara. Beside them, you can go upto Nayapul in the buses that go towards Baglung, and starting trekking from Nayapul is a good idea. Also you can take taxi or reserve jeep which are easily available at Hari Chowk, they also reach upto the bottom point of Ghandruk.

Description:

Annapurna Himalayan range is one of the enormous ranges that expand from Vara-Shikar (Annapurna Fang) towards Manaslu and Lamjung range which is roughly 60-70 km of lateral distance. Which includes one peak over 8,000 metres , thirteen peaks over 7,000 metres, and sixteen more over 6,000 metres. The landscape of the region provides breath taking sceneries. The early morning views of the mountains are majestic. The sunrise views from along the path of the trek are breath taking. The treks combine so many different landscapes and bring you so close to the base of 7,000 and 8,000 meter peaks.

The 10 days Annapurna Base Camp trekking designed by Trekking Guide Team is one of the most admired trekking destinations. During the trek apart from witnessing rich cultural diversity, you will also pass through remote farms as well as villages occupied by Gurung ethnic tribes who are popularly known all over the world for their bravery. You can experience the culture, old traditions, and religious values, of grung people. To begin 10 days Annapurna Base Camp, we will drive to Nayapul from Pokhara and walk all along the path and carry on trekking down the hill following a river to Birethanti. Also, we will climb to Jhinu danda where we can enjoy tumbling in the hot spring. On the way to Dovan, we will be rewarded by the outstanding views of Mt. Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South and Himchuli. Plus, we will pass by Chomrong, a large Gurung village. We will also pass by the wooded area filled with bamboo and rhododendron trees beside the Modi River and reach Dovan. Then we will walk for 6 hours to get to Annapurna Base Camp lying at the elevation of 4,095m via Machhapuchhre base camp which is beautifully set on the northern side of the extremely large Mt. Machhapuchhre.
